Pulling them off the road about 8 years ago, their background (that led them to be the stage band that they are now) is charming and atypical; It traces from scratch the recreational turbulences of the members from “Les Hurlements d’léo” , “Les Fils de Teupuh” , “Les Chevals”, “Raoul Petite”, “Babylon Circus”, “Mabreuch” or then again “Les Têtes Raides”.

After 2 years full of unlikely meetings, musical and culinary trips in Europe and more other places, and more than 500 gigs and festivals in France and abroad (Switzerland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Russia, Germany, Austria, Spain, Belgium…), “Les Touffes Krétiennes” are coming back to us in great shape, more motivated than ever and gifted of a determinedly fresh and electrifying show.

Happily crazy and impertinently groovy, this swaggered and pharaonic band geometrically and geographically variable, carts us about from pure and simple rock to soul or disco music; revisiting the hottest standards, always ornamented by access of “Touffesque-style”.

Following a first album mastered by “le chinoi” (Los Carayos , Hot Pants, Mano Negra, Négresses Vertes), a CD/DVD “Live !” recorded and filmed at Sziget festival in Budapest (Hungary) and Musicalarue festival in Luxey (France) will be out in stores from October 2009. Basically, a beautiful window completely reconditioned for the fall/winter catalog …. Great to warm you up!
